Isabella Shippen

Summer Faculty

Isabella began dancing at a young age and has over 18 years of experience in ballet, contemporary/modern, and jazz. She spent her early dance years training at Ballet West and eventually Central Utah Ballet. During this time she also attended various summer programs including Long Beach Ballet and the Utah Ballet Summer Intensive at University of Utah 
Upon graduating high-school, Isabella was accepted into, and spent two years in the University of Utah’s Ballet Program where she studied under notable educators such as Christine McMillan, Melissa Bobick, Pablo Piantino, Justine Sheedy-Kramer, and Maggie Wright-Tesch. 


While in the program she performed in various works including Les Sylphides, staged by Maggie Wright-Tesch, a single strand of a spider's web, by jo Blake, and Passengers by Viola Farber, restaged by Linda Smith. 
Currently Isabella teaches ballet and contemporary at several dance studios in Utah. She is very passionate about teaching and strives to create a positive and inclusive environment for young dancers to develop their technical and artistic skills.
